We still have some seed potatoes for sale and the Eco Committee will be selling these from the portacabin on Friday 23rd March from 11.45-12.15. Alternatively, you can fill in the order form below and put money in an envelope to the school office. Thank you for your support :-)!
We have been learning about plants and what plants need to grow. Today we set up a little experiment to find out.
The children were very disappointed today when we ran out of time for show and tell. If they would like to bring their things back in with them on Monday we will set aside some time in the afternoon.
A number of families have asked about access to Education City for their children at home. Consultations took place with the parent council, looking at previous years uptake against cost. It was decided that home access would be purchased for P4 – 7 pupils but because of the amount of free online games available to P1-3 children and the low uptake in previous years it wouldn’t be purchased for the younger children. I have provided a list of online games on the blog, just click on the menu tab above to see games that your children can use to support their learning.
Another great online resource we have been using at school is called Teach Your Monster To Read. It is completely free to access on desktop and laptop computers however there is a charge to download the app to mobile phones and tablets. We have been using this at times during our literacy lessons in class and the children have loved it.
